It's so simple, and easy with the Mac, but with any small, but visible chance to add a bit of reality I jump on it. Here I took a digital photo of my son's shoe tread and dropped it in a lassoed outline. I would later go back and age it up with some dirty watercolor and a flattened/rubbed down look to the rubber edges.
